When we maintain PD or other MRP forms with the exception of VB Reorder Point Planning System, MRP Live for these materials will automatically be triggered.
If MRP Live program needs to be changed to Classic MRP due to some other business requirements, the following steps need to be followed.
1.Go to Transaction Code MD_MRP_FORCE_CLASSIC
Give the appropriate parameters.
In this document, the device shows all materials with active MRP views in the Material Master so we can describe that for particular materials the planning run is to be carried out using classic MRP.
2. Once Executed report will be opened with Below Information’s like
- Material
- MRP Controller
- Plant
- MRP Area
- Information from Last MRP Live on HANA Run
- Source of Issue
- Time Stamp
3. Move to Switch Mode from Display Mode so we see Classic MRP
Choose the material to be scheduled and save in Classic MRP.
For the following reasons, we are using this report:
If we need to include as many materials as needed in the MRP Live run on HANA, this report gives us details on the limitation that excludes material being included on HANA in MRP Live. We can switch to the following screen in the report where we can adjust the material in a way that avoids the function that MRP Live on HANA does not allow. If there is no generic solution that can solve the problem, a correct message will be shown by the device.
Instead of MRP Live on HANA, we always want the program to call classic MRP to prepare those materials in some plants. For instance, this means whether we can further improve the performance of MRP Live on HANA by setting the materials that we know could not be plan in MRP live on Hana Run-due to a restriction to be planned in classic MRP. If we’ve done the right setup here, the system will automatically plan the material in the next planning run using the classic MRP principle. Remember that this environment should be made for materials involving improvements in the BAdIs planning logic. In classic MRP, these materials must be planned. Moreover, verify that materials need a BAdI to be processed during the MRP run and set the Always Plan for these materials in the Classic MRP indicator and sap success factors.
We also use this report to assess the view of a product in the Material Requirements Planning apps. The system automatically checks this information when we first access the apps and saves this information in the field, Material Displayed in MRP Apps. When we manually adjust the material’s master data to include it in MRP Live on HANA, we can also advise the system to check whether the changes we’ve made indicate that the material is now shown automatically in the MRP apps. To do this, pick the items to be reviewed and selected Display in MRP Apps: Recheck
